2026 Cervical Spine Research Society - Asia Pacific (CSRS-AP) Instructional Course Lecture (ICL) & Cadaver Workshop
Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues, Scholars, and Friends,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Taiwan Spine Society (TWSS).
Since its establishment, our society has been dedicated to advancing spinal surgery through clinical
excellence, scientific research, and educational development. We firmly believe that continuous
professional dialogue and international collaboration are the keys to improving patient care and
enhancing quality of life.
The upcoming ICL Cadaver Workshop, co-organized with CSRS-AP, is designed as a fundamental introductory course in cervical spine surgery. Its primary mission is to strengthen the knowledge and surgical foundation of young spine surgeons, as well as all physicians aspiring to specialize in the cervical field. We sincerely hope this program will inspire more colleagues to devote themselves to this specialty and eventually join the vibrant communities of TWSS and CSRS-AP, contributing to the advancement of spine surgery in Asia and beyond.
We are deeply grateful to the distinguished CSRS-AP faculty who have traveled across borders to support this event. As esteemed senior members of the society, they include Prof. Yasutsugu Yukawa and Prof. Hisanori Mihara from Japan; Dr. Kang Taek Lim, Prof. Kyung-Chung Kang, and Prof. Jae Jun Yang from Korea; as well as Prof. Gabriel Liu from Singapore. Their invaluable expertise and contributions greatly elevate the quality of this program and provide young surgeons in Taiwan and throughout the Asia-Pacific region with extraordinary opportunities for learning and growth.
At the same time, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the organizing team from Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Department of Spine Surgery — Prof. Tsung-Ting Tsai, Dr. Fu-Cheng Kao, and Dr. Ping-Yeh Chiu — for their meticulous planning and dedication, which have made this workshop possible.
Thank you once again for your trust and support. I look forward to meeting you at our upcoming academic events.
Sincerely,
Wen-Tien Wu, MD, PhD
President, Taiwan Spine Society (TWSS)

This partnership represents a meaningful step forward for our community. The cervical spine is a vital area of focus within minimally invasive techniques, and this workshop provides an excellent opportunity for our members to deepen their understanding of cervical spine surgery, both in theoretical knowledge and in practical surgical skills.
Through this collaboration, we hope to support the ongoing professional development of our members and promote the exchange of expertise across disciplines and regions. It is our belief that by participating in this program, our members will gain valuable insights that will enhance their clinical practice and strengthen the future of minimally invasive spine surgery.
I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the organizing committee, distinguished faculty, and all participants for your efforts and dedication in making this workshop a success.
Thank you again for your participation. I wish you a productive, inspiring, and enriching experience.
Sincerely
Yen-Mou Lu, MD
